Sosialisasi Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Tuberkulosis di SMAN 1 Kupang Barat, Kabupaten Kupang

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis was one of the infectious diseases that is still a health problem in the world. Increasing knowledge of employees and students about the prevention and control of tuberculosis was very important to do. Method: The target of the activity was employees and students of SMAN 1 Kupang Barat. Activities. The form of activity was socialization about the prevention and control of tuberculosis. Before the socialization activity is carried out, it was preceded by a meeting between the service team and partners. The socialization method used was a direct lecture using LCD and powerpoint media and equipped with leaflets. The number of targets who participated in this activity was 57 students and 15 employees. Results: The results of community service activities were increasing the knowledge of students and employees. Before the socialization took place, a quiz was held to find out the level of understanding of the participants regarding the material to be presented. The results of the quiz showed that there were still participants who could not answer correctly. SMAN 1 Kupang Barat was also committed to preventing tuberculosis. Conclusion: This activity has increased the knowledge of employees and students about the prevention and control of tuberculosis. It is hoped that this activity can be carried out sustainably.
