AUTHOR GUIDELINES

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION

Initial submission

The article results from a research study in nursing, such as medical-surgical nursing, emergency nursing, maternity nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, community nursing, family and geriatric, primary nursing, and nursing management. The article can be written in Bahasa or English. The initial submission should be clean and complete but must comply or be close to all the Jurnal Kesehatan Primer specifications. 

There are 6 requirements:

  1. Title page: A blinded title page that includes the title of the manuscript only without the authors' names. Acknowledgments and sources of funds can be added here.
  2. Main text: The article is written using Microsoft Word, with Times New Roman font and size 12, 1 spacing, 3 cm margins on the left side, 3 cm on above, 3 cm on the right and below sides. Formula and equation are written by Microsoft Equation. A4 paper size, in a Single Column. Numbered pages and lines (in Words > Page Setup > Line Numbers > Continuous) throughout the text of the manuscript.
  3. Author statements: contains the author's notice that the submitted manuscript has no problems and other conflicts of interest and statement of copyright/publishing.
  4. Supplementary file (if needed)
  5. Ethical clearance: attach the letter of ethic permission include the Source and number of ethics permits obtained
  6. cover letter:  This cover letter must contain information about a brief description of the paper to current knowledge, especially regarding previously published material in the Journal and a systematic review of the topic. Emphasize the importance of this paper's contribution to the development of nursing. Also, provide one sentence that summarizes the paper's central message that can be used to spread the article on social media.

Manuscripts of low priority or quality are promptly rejected. Manuscripts retained to undergo a review process for potential publication in the Journal will be submitted to a technical check. Authors will be informed immediately if their manuscripts need reformatting and given 7 days to make specific changes.

Main text File Formats

All manuscripts should be submitted in Word document format. Jurnal Info Kesehatan submission system is located at http://jurnal.poltekeskupang.ac.id/index.php/jkp.

Manuscript Components

The research result article consists of the title, author's name, abstract in English, keywords, introductions, research methods, results and discussions, conclusions, and References.

Review article consists of the title, author's name, abstract in English, Keywords, Introductions, Contents, Conclusion, and References.

WRITING GUIDE

Title

  • The title is written in English or Indonesian and informative, concise, and not too long or short (below 16 words) with Times New Roman font, size 12 pt Bold, 1 spacing.
  • Consists of the variables under study and describes the content of the manuscript.
  • A title does not contain abbreviations or formulas.
  • The title page should include the title of the manuscript only. The names of authors should be deleted to ensure the double-blinding of the paper during the peer review process.

Abstract and Keyword

  • The abstract is concisely written about the most essential ideas and contains the problems or research objectives, research method, and research results.
  • Written in an Indonesian and English language with 250 words maximum.
  • If the article was written in Indonesian, the abstract should be written correctly in Indonesian and English. The abstract should be written only in English if the article was written in English.
  • Abstract for each language only allowed to be written in 1 paragraph with 1 column format
  • Keywords contain main words consisting. 

Introduction

An introduction is presented in an integrated manner without subtitles. It is written in the form of paragraphs a contains:

  • Background or research rational
  • Theoretical basis (literature review in brief)
  • Research objective

Research Method 

  The Research method is written with containing:

  • The study design
  • Data collection techniques and data sources
  • Method of data analysis

Results and Discussion

The results represent a significant part of scientific articles containing:

  • Results of data analysis
  • Results of hypothesis testing
  • It can be presented with a table or graph to clarify results verbally.
  • Discussion is an essential part of the entire scientific article. The purposes of the discussion are: answer the research problem, interpret the findings, integrate the research results into the existing knowledge, and formulate a new theory or modify the existing ideas.
  • A serial number used numbers a, b, c, and so on do not need to use a composite number. Hyphens should not change the serial number.

Conclusion

  • Contain conclusions and recommendations.
  • Conclusions contain answers to the research questions.
  • Recommendations refer to the research results and practical form of action, specify to whom and for what suggestion intended.
  • Written in essay form, not in numerical form.

Tables

  • Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. Tables can be placed either next to the relevant text in the article or on separate page(s) at the end. Number tables consecutively by their appearance in the text and place any table notes below the table body. Be sparing in tables and ensure that the data presented do not duplicate results described elsewhere in the article. Please avoid using vertical rules and shading in table cells. Take a look at the template.

Figure 

  • Ensure that each illustration has a caption. Supply captions separately, not attached to the figure. A caption should comprise a brief title (not on the figure itself) and a description of the illustration. Keep text in the pictures to a minimum but explain all symbols and abbreviations used. Take a look at the template.

References

  • Contain literature referenced in the content arranged alphabetically and written in the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition system.
  • Entirely written, appropriate with the references in the content.
  • Only load literature referenced in the content.
  • The Source of references is 80% from literature published last 10 years.
  • References are at least 80% from journals or research reports research articles.
  • An article should refer to the article published in the Jurnal Info Kesehatan.

The article should contain no less than 20 references, and the reference section should be single-spaced with justified margins. The references should also include the DOI number from CrossRef. References format is APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style with Mendeley or Zotero Tools or another reference tool

Each citation should be written in the order of appearance in the text. Please use a consistent format for references – see examples below:
