Validation of Target Data for Immunisation in Timor Tengah Selatan Regency in the Investing in Nutrition and Early Years (INEY) Programme for 2025

The accuracy of target data is an important factor in achieving Complete Basic Immunisation (IDL) coverage. Inconsistent target data can hinder the planning and implementation of immunization programs, as well as the administration of follow-up immunizations to children who have not received immunizations according to schedule or who are late in receiving them. By adjusting for age and previous immunization history, it is possible to ensure that children receive optimal protection against vaccine-preventable diseases. This community service activity aims to improve the accuracy and validity of target data for catch-up immunisation in South Central Timor Regency. The activity was carried out by involving 37 Primary Health Center immunization managers through a data validation and updating process by matching immunization registers, infant cohorts, and immunization recapitulation reports. The results of the activity showed that out of a total of 7,505 infant targets, 5,307 infants had incomplete basic immunization status in the application records, whose ages had exceeded the recommended schedule. This activity produced more accurate and verified immunization target data, enhancing the understanding of Primary Health Center immunization managers regarding the importance of immunization data management. Validating immunisation target data is a strategic step in supporting more targeted immunisation programme planning and implementation.
