Health issue that continues to be a concern in Indonesia is nutrition, where currently there are three nutrition problems: undernutrition, overnutrition, and micronutrient deficiencies such as anemia. Anemia in pregnant women is one of the risk factors for stunting, which requires intervention during pregnancy to prevent low birth weight (LBW), impaired growth, and premature birth. One effort to prevent the increasing prevalence of anemia is by improving pregnant women's knowledge about anemia. The aim of this counseling and health education is for pregnant women to know and understand anemia so they can take measures to prevent it. The method used in the implementation of this community service consisted of lectures and the distribution of leaflets, followed by a series of questions and answers and discussions. Based on the results of evaluation and observation of the target group, it was shown that the counseling provided can increase the knowledge and understanding of the target audience (pregnant women and patient families) at Tanjung Karang Health Center about anemia, as evidenced by the pregnant women participants being able to answer questions from the presenters related to the prevention of anemia. After attending this counseling and health education, Sasaan has the awareness to take measures to prevent anemia and can convey information about anemia to his/her family and the community around him/her.
